CLARION HOTEL ENERGY

Designed by Snöhetta Stavanger, Norway

To meet the increasing demand for high quality hotels in Norway’s oil capital, Fritz Hansen joined forces with Norway’s star architect Snöhetta to create the Clarion Hotel Energy. Tomorrow’s answer to a world class designer hotel.

Famous for designing the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Snöhetta was commissioned to create an outstanding hotel with superlative architectural appeal. A high-caliber building which could have a life of its own. The result is a unique design with furniture exclusively from Fritz Hansen.

Fritz Hansen was chosen based on their reputation for timeless design with a distinctive identity, high quality and exceptional craftsmanship. Along with their ability to echo the architectural approach outside – inside.
The overall inspiration for the hotel is rooted in Stavanger’s previous role as the centre for Norway’s fishing and canning industries. The interior is a well composed series of floating spaces characterised by white walls and natural materials, such as wooden floors and doors.

Similarly, the hotel features a range of Fritz Hansen furniture in natural materials like wood, leather and wool, which also stand the test of time. From tables, chairs to sofas, all the furniture is customised to create a unique Clarion look, feel and identity. Each piece has its own personality, bringing a subtle strength to each room and a Nordic aesthetic to the entire hotel. Not to be missed is the colour concept, where every wing has its own cohesive colour scheme, reflected in the corridor carpets and their corresponding rooms.

All in all, it’s a perfect partnering of distinctive architectural design and furniture. Expressing a unique personality for an exclusive hotel setting exciting new standards in high-end design.
